Έφτασαν πρώτα φλαμίνγκο στην Σάμο και σύμφωνα με το Ινστιτούτο Αρχιπέλαγος ,το οποίο στην σελίδα του αναφέρει:
α πρώτα Φλαμίνγκο έχουν φτάσει στον υδροβιότοπο της Αλυκής στη Σάμο.
Τους χειμερινούς μήνες, διάφορα προστατευόμενα είδη πουλιών, όπως τα Φοινικόπτερα (Φλαμίνγκο) της φωτογραφίας, αναζητούν καταφύγιο στους μικρούς υδροβιότοπους του Αιγαίου. Η χερσαία ερευνητική ομάδα του Ινστιτούτου Αρχιπέλαγος, καταγράφει τους παράγοντες που απειλούν και υποβαθμίζουν τους υδροβιότοπους σε διάφορα νησιά του ανατολικού Αιγαίου και σε συνεργασία με τις τοπικές κοινωνίες υλοποιεί δράσεις για την προστασία τους!
The first flamingos are already in the Aliki wetland in Samos.
Throughout the winter months numerous protected species of birds, such as the flamingos in this photo, seek shelter in the small wetlands of the Aegean islands. During the course of the year, over 50 species of waterbirds are associated with these habitats, highlighting the importance of these small wetlands to the aquatic birds of Greece. Archipelagos Institute’s Terrestrial Research team is working on identifying the main threats to these habitats in various islands of the eastern Aegean. Archipelagos is joining forces with the local communities on these islands with the aim of protecting Greece’s aquatic birds and ensuring their long-term survival.
